The gallop of fingers on keyboards Here comes another frenzied virtual hoard They’ve heard the rumours around town And now it’s time to take this outlaw down Hang him high And hang him low And hang him anywhere Just as long as we see the bastard hang Hang him high And hang him low And hang him anywhere Don’t let him speak just let him hang And we don’t care about what happened now No we don’t really care what happened now No we don’t wanna know what happened now Cause we just wanna see him hang Just kick the stool And watch him die On our screens at home So we don’t have to look him in the eye And we don’t need the hoods no more We’ll do our lynching Behind the safety of our bedroom doors So welcome to the wild wild web Where we are virtually the law man Yeah welcome to the wild wild web He’s virtually dead so bring us his head man And they don’t care about what happened now Well they weren’t there but yet they think they were Yeah no one really cares what happened now The world just wants to see me hang Hang him high And hang him low And hang him anywhere Just as long as we see the bastard hang Hang him high And hang him low And hang him anywhere Don’t let him speak just let him die

Well it really ain’t much fun when you’re walking in the sun With 20 men on horses on your tail And all you’ve got is sand underneath your feet And many miles still left upon the trail And all you want’s a bottle of good whiskey in your hand And to spend some of the money That you stole from that there bank But it won’t be that much fun being shot by 20 guns So you better get your feet back on the trail (MUSICAL INTERLUDE) And it really won’t be fun being strung up in the sun I hope that aint the end of this here tale I hear the distant sound of hooves hitting the ground Oh no there’s a posse on my tail And I wish that I could make it across this devil’s land So I could spend the money That I stole from that there bank But it really aint much fun when you’re walking in the sun With 20 men on horses on your tail when all you’ve got is sand underneath your feet And there is still a posse on your tail

Everybody knows about Jesse James I guess you’re not a legend If they haven’t heard your name And everyone knows Billy and he was just a Kid But nobody knows bout all the things I did These are the tales of an Unknown outlaw A legend of the West These are the tales of the greatest Outlaw You just ain’t heard them yet And I was a Calamity but no one knows my name But everybody’s heard of Calamity Jane And I once rode with Sundance At least for a mile And I said lets be partners But he said that weren’t his style These are the tales of an Unknown outlaw A legend of the West These are the tales of the greatest Outlaw You just ain’t heard them yet And I once robbed a stage coach On the way to rob a bank And yeah I got the money But still I got no thanks And I should be more famous But somehow I kept my head And no one knows who you are Till after you are dead These are the tales of an Unknown outlaw A legend of the West These are the tales of the greatest Outlaw You just ain’t heard them yet These are the tales of an Unknown outlaw Perhaps he was the best These are the tales of the greatest Outlaw You just ain’t heard them yet You just ain’t heard them yet You just ain’t heard them yet

I’m writing this here letter To the gal I love I was gonna buy you that big old house That you’ve been dreamin’ of But they put me in this jail cell And they threw away the key It’s actually a funny story Well I think you will agree See I didn’t know the bank was next to the Sheriff’s office I didn’t know that he would be in town No, I didn’t know the bank was next to the Sheriff’s office, oh no So they didn’t have to take me far to jail So I’m writing you this letter From my prison cell And when the good judge gets here He may send me off to hell And I feel kind of foolish Cause dear you always tell your man That before I leave the house for work Well I should make a plan But I didn’t know the bank was next to the Sheriff’s office Or that he was the fastest gun in town No, I didn’t know the bank was next to the Sheriff’s office, oh no So they didn’t have to take me far to hang No they didn’t have to take me far to hang

I do believe that they have put a price upon my head I do believe some good old boy will collect it when I’m dead I do believe that I will pay sincerely for my crimes I do believe this is the end of all those good old times And when death comes a riding Every man must pay the price For all the things that he did wrong and some that he did right And some men see the dark side But I only see the light Cause at least they can’t hang me twice Musical Interlude I don’t believe that for my crimes well I should surely hang But I do believe that is what the good town folks they have planned I don’t believe in heaven and I don’t believe in hell But if they do exist well I’ll be sure to tell And when death comes a riding Every man must pay the price For all the things that he did wrong and some that he did right And when death comes a calling I will say well aint this nice Cause at least they can’t hang me twice Well at least they can’t hang me twice Well at least they can’t hang me twice No they can’t hang me twice

Tallulah won’t you wait for me Oh Tallulah won’t you wait for me Oh Tallulah wont you wait I’ll be back there any day Oh Tallulah won’t you wait for me Yes Tallulah I’ve been gone too long Yes Tallulah I know I done wrong But Tallulah just hang on It really won’t be long Cause Tallulah, I am coming home So Tallulah won’t you wait for me Oh Tallulah won’t you wait for me Oh Tallulah wont you wait I’ll be back there any day Oh Tallulah won’t you wait for me No Tallulah don’t you wait for me Well I found myself in trouble now you see Well Tallulah you can wait But I’ll probably be quite late Cause in the morning they are gonna hang me Yeah in the morning they are gonna hang me

When they lay me down I hope it’s under prairie moon It’s such a peaceful land When lit up by that prairie moon And it really doesn’t matter If somewhere under the same sky There’s a posse sent to kill me Well they’ll have to wait till dawn’s first light So laying on the ground I look up at the prairie moon And anywhere is home If I can see that prairie moon And maybe in the morning their horses will catch up And for breakfast tomorrow Maybe justice will be served But under prairie moon There’s nothing left to worry about While staring at the moon I’ve never been a freer man And maybe in the morning I will face my doom But I’ll deal with that tomorrow For now I’m happy Staring up at prairie moon Staring up at prairie moon Staring up at prairie moon

about

Hangman takes us on a rip roaring ride through the wild wild web, a land full of anonymous online trolls and bullies instantly ready to form a posse and hang any suspected outlaw without the need for evidence, facts or trials. It is a satirical and humorous take on the genuinely scary and somewhat crazy world of the internet. So, join our reluctant hero as he attempts to escape the noose.

Tales Of An Unknown Outlaw is a recently discovered collection of songs by the ex outlaw and touring wild west troubadour Rory 'Slow Walk' Turner. Turner was a notorious stick up man in the Old West but unlike other outlaws, Turner was most famous for being caught.

It was during one lengthy period of incarceration, that Turner found his true passion, music. Writing songs inspired by his own wild west misadventures, he found minor fame after his release touring the West with a theatre company and entertaining the somewhat rowdy patrons of various saloons and brothels with his often unintentionally humorous tales of woe.

Sadly, Turner’s new-found music career was cut short when he was gunned down during a live performance after a fellow stick up man, Luke “The Kid” Galloway, mistakenly assumed that Turner’s tragically funny song “I didn’t Know The Bank Was Next to the Sheriff’s Office” was actually about him.

You can now hear these tales for the first time.
